I loved the first two parts of the series, but they messed up part three because of too much grinding.Positives:+ Relaxed atmosphere, nicely painted graphics+ It’s still motivating to discover hidden objects and to level up your skillsNegatives:- Way too much grind, in fact, there is not much else to do (because objects are re-appearing in part three, so you have to farm them over and over again to make progress)- The story is very weak- The soundtrack is super repetitive and get’s annoying fast. A huge disappointment after the first two games. It took a relaxing, casual experience which constantly gave a small feeling of progression (Aha, now I've got that item I can do that quest from earlier!) and turned it into a tedious grind with repetitive animations, next to no resource management and no real sense of accomplishment. Instead I was quite glad when it was over and didn't have to make any more potions! I'd still recommend HOTK 1 & 2 but 3 is definitely one to miss.. If your looking for retro-nostalgia for the fantasy adventure genre Hero of the Kingdom is it. This is all that and fast travel. It's everything you expect.Returing Hero fans I have good news, the camps are now one camp you can acess any time and the specific food requirements have been replaced with a lovely cooking system. Now the other two advancements have been met with mixed feeling, but personally I like them. Firstly resources now respawn, never again shall we be stuck! Second we have skill levels now, rather than skill teirs. There is hunting, fishing and cooking, herbalism and alchemy, and finally mining and smithing- oh and lock-picking can't forget that.The villian is frankly lame, but that doesn't mean the kingdom needs saving any less. If your looking to step into the role of a multi-talented and profoundly selfless hero this is a good game for you.Side note: the character cannot actually die. If he cannot overcome an obsticle he cannot face it until he can defeat it.. I really LOVE this game! This series just keeps improving. I hope there are plans for game number 4. The biggest improvement from the previous games is that things are regenerating. There are no longer any risk of running out of things to hunt or collect. The only thing I didn't like, and it's a minor thing, is that you can not skip the cut-scenes. I keep playing this game over and over, and after the first time the scenes about the princess feels a bit dull to have to click through. Would be nice if there was an option to skip them.But as I said: I LOVE IT! And I highly recommend this game!. I think the hero here is gay.. Another fun game in this series, but not quite as good. I really enjoyed playing this adventure and journeying across the many locations and helping the people throughtout.But, game 3 looks graphically the same as the first 2. Also, as a few comments stated, you have to grind all game long. The other games had certain achievements that could only be made by finding the exact amount of a few of the items. Here that does not hold true. There is an abundance of everything and you need it all just to fight so many of the battles that lie ahead. You will spend alotof time making potions, weapons, and building your strength, and it can get quite tedious. If they wanted the game to be longer, add more places to go. There soooo many things you had to find and do that sometimes I got lost in what I acatually needed. But, eventually, all the grinding pays off though I must say that the ending was pretty anti-climatic. With all the grinding you had to do, the final battle was weak as I had soooooo much stuff that it was very easy to accomplish as were most of the achievements. This was the first time playing a game in this series that I got all the achievements in the first play through. The grinding they made you do backfired as it made getting the achievements very easy.So, like I said, fun game, but was still a little dissappointing. If you are a fan of this series, you will enjoy it. Just don't expect anything ground breaking.. This is cool game :) Bought, played, enjoyed... perfect work, developers. Thanks.. Can't recommend until devs fix either one of these two things: enemy spawn rate, combat skill progression. It's just a pain in the♥♥♥♥♥right now.
